Once upon a time, I was staging super fancy homes for sale, outfitting them with replicas of classics and I'd come home to my tiny one bedroom apartment and try not to feel small. One day after hanging up 'blue nudes' by henri matisse over a lavish bathtub, I found a new muse in my dachshund and recreated it in his image. Since then, I've dabbled with exploring modernizations of classics blended with my culture and experiences. When I was pinching my pennies and resisting going out or ordering in, I heard my mami's voice in my head saying 'hay comida en la casa' so I looked to andy warhol and what he did with the campbell's soup can to create a colorful reminder for myself to curve my cravings and make the most of my groceries.
